As a kid growing up, baseball was my one and only sport. I played in high school and college, until an arm injury forced me to give up the game that I loved so much.
It wasn't until almost 30 years later that I was able to reunite with the game, thanks to my wife Kristi, who surprised me with a week at Yankees Fantasy Camp. I quickly found other venues to immerse myself in, and played in tournaments around the country.
Now, I'm also coaching 18U travel ball in Jacksonville. I would have enjoyed coaching when I was younger but never could make the time because of work. Now I find I'm blessed to have the time, and the opportunity to work with some great kids who share the same passion for the game.
Baseball has introduced me to many lifelong friends over the years. Starting HARDBALL 360 was a home run, guaranteeing me and my friends a place to enjoy good times and celebrate the game we love.
Baseball has always been a part of my life. I grew up playing baseball in Pennsylvania all the way through high school, and then on to the college level at Keystone Junior College. After Junior College I moved to Florida and continued playing baseball for a D1 school, Jacksonville University.
After finishing my college career, I signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers. I played five years of minor league baseball with the Dodgers, making it to AA. I then retired from playing baseball and moved on to coaching. I became a teacher and baseball coach at Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, Florida. My high school teams have made three trips to the final four and earned two state runner-ups. Seven of my players were drafted by major league baseball, and two of them were taken in the first round of the 2004 draft, Billy Butler and Eric Hurley. I now coach 18u travel baseball along with putting my energy into HARDBALL 360. I have two sons, one currently playing minor league ball for the Cleveland Indians organization and another who will be playing with Central Florida State College starting in the Fall.
